FOR CONSTRUCTION AWARDS

Congratulations to NIFL Resin Flooring which has been
short-listed for the Finishing and Fit Out category of the
prestigious Construction News Specialist Awards.
The winner will be announced on the 5 March at the
London Hilton.

NIFL has enjoyed rapid expansion in recent years,
doubling its office space and staff in Hull and opening a
second warehouse facility to complement the existing
one in Nottingham. The company has worked with many
blue-chip companies and is a former winner of the FeRFA Contractor of the Year award 2007/8.

There were a record number of entries for the Awards this
year and making the short-list is an great achievement

NIFL Resin Flooring has been nominated in the Specialists
Awards in Construction 2009, held at London Hilton, Park
Lane, March 2009. NIFL is nominated in the category of
‘Finishing and Fit Out’ sponsored by the Association of
Interior Specialists. The judging panel consists of the
Chairman of the CITB and the Shadow Minister for
Construction.

NIFL Resin Flooring has completed a successful renovation
for Nestle over the Christmas period. The Nestle production
facility based in Carlisle chose NIFL to install Altroscreed
Quartz and Stainless Steel Stair Treads, Coving Trims and
Edging Trims.

who admirably demonstrated all the criteria the FeRFA
judges were looking for: all-round performance, quality
and variety of work, outstanding customer service, new application techniques, promotion of resin flooring,
safety awareness and a commitment to training. 

The company promotes FeRFA throughout its literature
and works with the FeRFA types when quoting clients.
During the year the company has worked on a wide
variety of projects across the market sectors working
with FeRFA manufacturing members.  It offered clients
solutions to their problems and worked with them to
ensure they delivered client satisfaction. NIFL has
excellent customer feedback and client retention plus
making a strong training commitment with an apprentice
on the FeRFA scheme and onsite assessment for floor
layers to NVQL2.  A good awareness of health & safety
issues has also been demonstrated.’

Decking system, manufactured by Resdev, to a covered

More Case Studies by NIFL Resin Flooring

Two more case studies have been added to the
website in the latest update. The ‘Bakery Factory’ is a
Type 6 Flooring System, as per the FeRFA (Resin Flooring Association) classification, used because of its ease of
cleaning. The second case study, ‘Heavy Duty Flooring’,
is a Type 8 classified flooring system and was used to
provide the most robust of all available systems.

FeRFA Apprenticeship Scheme

NIFL Resin Flooring became one of the first companies
to enrol a candidate on the FeRFA (Resin Flooring
Association) backed NVQ L2 in ‘In Situ Resin Flooring’.
Craig Haughey has already passed his CITB Health
and Safety Test as part of the course.

Resin - the New Big Thing

According to a recent feature in the FX Magazine,
Resin Flooring has made its way into the flooring
arsenal of architects and designers working on far
more glamorous projects these days.

Nottingham Industrial Flooring now successfully
specifies a wide range of designer flooring to all
types of environments. The company has recently
completed a project for a Clothing Boutique in
London using Altro Flow and a domestic
application using Altro Pebblestone.
